THE APPLE TREE AND THE FARMER

·       Once there lived a farmer who lived up in the hills.

·       He grew many vegetables and a apple tree, he played in the apple tree when he was a kid with his friends and also when he grew old he took upon the farm and continued to enjoy its fruits.

·       That apple tree was home to many small animals and birds, his children also played in the apple tree with their friends.

·       As years passed by, the tree grew older and it could bear no fruits in it, so he decided to cut it and take its woods to built a new room in his house.

·       But when the farmer lifted the axe to cut down the tree the birds, animals and insects in the tree came down running around in alarm, chirping and squeaking all over the place.

·       This made the farmer’s children and their friends to come out, they started pleading to the farmer telling about the apple tree and it being the home for all the small animals, birds and insects.

·       All of a sudden the farmer noticed a small fruit hanging and once when he tasted it, it brought back his old memories of him and his friends playing around the tree .

·       So he promised that he wouldn’t cut down the tree at any cost.
