KARI THE ELEPHANT

* Written by Dhan Gopal Mukherjee.
* Kari is five months old when the author was 9 yrs old.
* Kari needed 40 pounds of twigs daily.
* The author took Kari every day to the river bank to bath him.. And would take him by the ear because that is the easiest way to lead an elephant.
* One day when the author was collecting twigs for Kari he hears Kari cry out for help.. Then he sees Kari struggling to pull out a boy from yhe river..
* The author helps the boy to come out.. But suddenly he slips into the water.. But Kari saves him.
